The Triangle – Retail and Entertainment Center Commercial Painting Project
At almost 200,000 square feet, “The Triangle” in downtown Costa Mesa is the largest entertainment, retail, and dining attraction in the city. Opened in 1992, and expanded over time, the landmark building recently received a fresh new exterior look compliments of CertaPro of Orange County.
The building had originally been painted brown and over time began to look dated with the stucco exterior faded, streaked, and damaged. Over the years dirt and grime covered the exterior requiring a complete power washing and repair effort before painting could even begin.
Adding to the project’s complexity were requirements to work around tenant’s schedules, and work in areas near heavy foot traffic, both in the facility and on the street. To make it all happen special communications equipment was used to keep everything in sync across the large space, and a variety of different hydraulic lifts were employed to reach difficult areas. To paint inside the large open dome, for example, a special atrium lift was used that sported tracks instead of wheels so that it could climb stairs to let the painters get to every last inch of the surface.
All told, the project took six weeks and ended up on time and on budget, leaving the property management ecstatic over the transformative results. Have a look at the video below to see the transformation for yourself!
