Commercial Sales Associate

We are looking for a Commercial Sales Person to identify, develop, maintain and close influential decision makers within the commercial property industry. We are seeking an individual who places an emphasis on building lasting relationships, with the ability to navigate and orchestrate a complex sales process and to help us grow the Commercial Division of our business to achieve our long term growth goals.

No paint knowledge is necessary, and a salesperson in the Business 2 Business industry should be able to transfer their skills into this role.

Our ideal candidate is internally driven to succeed. A motivated, goal oriented, "people person" with at least five years of "face-to-face" sales experience, preferably in the construction or property management fields. He or she must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong presentation and writing skills, and action oriented.

Most importantly, being a small business, finding the right "fit" within our company is essential.

What we're looking for

Qualifications and Requirements:
2-year or 4-year degree in related field (preferred)
Driver’s License with clean driving record
B2B, commercial sales experience (preferred)
Track-Record as a Top Performer (preferred)
History of accomplishments and promotions
Working knowledge of interior & exterior paints coatings, carpentry, drywall (preferred)

General Job Responsibilities and Required Skills
  • Commercial Sales to Property Managers, Facility Managers and Industrial Customers by initiating, developing and growing commercial painting relationships.
  • Cold calling and field networking to seek new business
  • Participate in industry events and tradeshows
  • Diligent Customer Follow-Up & Follow Through
  • On-going commitment to sales goals
  • Cradle-to-Grave’ Sales (can be up to a 3 to 9-month sales cycle in some circumstances)
  • Ensure customers receive a detailed written proposal for all requests.
  • Ensure that our customers’ needs, and their expectations, are clearly communicated and accurately documented on a written proposal.
  • Prepare Weekly Analysis of Results in preparation for Goal Setting & Review with Supervisor.
