Stucco Restoration in the South Texas Climate
In September 2025, CertaPro Painters® of Northwest San Antonio completed a three-day exterior refresh for The View at Helotes Creek, a well-known event center in Helotes, Texas.
Over time, the South Texas climate had faded and weathered the building’s stucco surfaces, leaving the once-vibrant exterior in need of attention. The owners wanted to restore the property’s original charm and ensure lasting protection against future weathering.
Our crew carefully primed and painted the stucco using the original colors from the building’s construction, bringing back its crisp, welcoming appearance. The result was a revitalized exterior that enhances the beauty of the venue and reflects the pride of its ownership.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The project included priming and repainting the front and right side of the building, with special attention given to hairline cracks in the stucco that required preparation prior to painting. Priming was a critical step in this process, ensuring smooth, even coverage and long-lasting results despite the challenges of the South Texas sun and heat.
The final application recreated the building’s original color scheme, maintaining consistency with its established design while giving the exterior a renewed vibrancy.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:
The greatest challenge of this project was reaching high elevations safely, as the building required access up to 60 feet. Our team used 40- and 60-foot ladders, equipment we own in-house, eliminating the need for costly lift rentals and helping the client keep costs efficient.
Careful setup and safety protocols allowed us to complete the work without disruption while ensuring precision in all high-access areas.
By combining expert preparation with the right equipment, our crew delivered a professional finish that restored the building’s appearance and durability.
