Kitchen Painting in Newton, MA
by CertaPro Painters® of Newton
Challenges
The main challenge in the project was the kitchen island not being movable. Doors and drawers had to be removed so our team can paint in the basement. There were also other contractors doing work in the area as we painted and all the appliances were high end.
CONDITIONS
There condition of the island was good. The owner wanted to change the look of her kitchen island.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
- Preparation – Quality was the main priority as the customer wanted a “Factory Finish”. Project Involved removing all hardware, doors, & drawer faces. Marking all of the doors & drawer faces for installation after finished. We sprayed the cabinets with meticulous attention to detail and patience using a finer mist to avoid heavy coat which leads to drips. Applications when changing colors may require up to 8 coats with adequate prepping and priming as well as longer dry times between coat
- Painting – This project required the use of a sprayer to apply the factory finish.
