De Pere Fire Department Station Case Study
Our team had the opportunity to work on the Fire Department Station #1 in De Pere, WI. The project consisted of a painting phase and concrete coating phase. The first phase —painting phase, took an approximate of 4 days to complete. The concrete coating portion of the project took 6 days to complete. The painting phase consisted of an interior update of the ceiling, overhead doors, service doors, and walls. The ceilings were painted with Sherwin-Williams color White. The interior walls were painted with Sherwin-Williams Argos SW7065. The overhead doors and service doors were painted with Sherwin-Willams Safety Red. After the concrete coating was completed we applied floor paint colors: Citadel Nightfall and Citadel Safety Red.
The project needs to completed before the fire station’s open house. All fire trucsk and appartus had to be parked outside during the project to not hinder our team from a full interior coverage. The project involved constant communication between the Job Site Supervisors, CSAs, and our Production Manager with the Chief and Battalion Chief. Each surface received a protected coating layer.
- Celings – All ceilings were sprayed with Sherwin-Williams DryFall
- Walls – Coated with Sherwin-Williams Pre-Catalyzed Epoxy
- Doors – Were painted using Sherwin-Williams Direct-To-Metal (DTM) Acrylic
Special Equipment:
There were two different floor grinders used —220V and Propane along with hand grinders.
