Boat Painting Project : American research vessel, R/V Sikuliaq

Captain Mike Hoshlyk from Marinette, WI reached out to owner, Alan Phillips on behalf of the University of Alaska to paint the American research vessel, R/V Sikuliaq.  CertaPro Painters painted the ceilings, walls, and doors for the interior of the bridge, science control room, winch control room, and captain’s quarters.

What’s unique about this project is that there were thousands of feet of computer wiring requiring CertaPro to use hand deglosser, and to only hand paint while using a silicon alkyd enamel. We had 2 ½ weeks to complete the job with a 4-man crew.
