Baseball Stadium Mural Project
CertaPro Painters® of NE Wisconsin had the opportunity to create a mural for the outfield wall at the Rockers Green Bay stadium. The outfield wall consisted of 8 stacked shipping containers, that our team and mural artist help update with a painted Rockers banner on a blue backdrop. We base-coated all the shipping containers and created a blank canvas. The Artist, Beau Thomas, painted the mural transforming the outfield wall. The large video scoreboard was installed afterward. The job took a total of 5 days. The result turned out phenomenal and our team was grateful for the opportunity to be part of this project and showcase our painting expertise at the Rockers baseball stadium.
CHALLENGES:
Large-scale projects contain their own set of challenges. Often, they require proper coordination within the team and communication with the client. These projects also tend to require specific equipment to make sure the project is completed in a timely manner. Since the turf environment was new, we could not use a lift on the project and instead required traditional ladders and scaffolding.

- Shipping Containers – Applying paint on existing shipping containers
- Prep – The containers needed to be prepped and cleaned for a smooth surface for painting.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Prep – The shipping containers had to be prepped for painting application.
- Coat – We used SW ProCryl Rust Inhibitor and Multi-Suface Acrylic/Gloss (Custom Color Match), to protect the metal containers from rust and resistance from weather.
