D-BAT De Pere Interior Painting and Branding Project
In April 2026, our team completed a full interior painting and branding project for D-BAT De Pere, a newly constructed 13,700-square-foot indoor baseball and softball training facility located in Ashwaubenon, WI. The facility was designed to serve athletes of all ages and skill levels and includes batting cages, private training spaces, offices, bathrooms, storage rooms, retail areas, and large indoor practice zones.
Because the project involved a brand-new construction site, surfaces throughout the building required extensive preparation before painting could begin. Walls, ceilings, doors, and exposed steel surfaces contained construction dust, dirt, debris, and imperfections left behind during the building process. Throughout production, ongoing construction activity from other trades created additional touch-up and repair needs as lifts, tools, and contractor traffic caused scratches and damage to freshly painted surfaces. The goal was to deliver a polished, high-energy athletic facility that fully reflected D-BAT’s national branding standards while maintaining durability for daily use.
PROJECT SCOPE:
The project included full interior painting services throughout the entire facility, including walls, ceilings, offices, bathrooms, storage rooms, retail spaces, training areas, doors, door frames, and exposed steel components.
Preparation work included surface cleaning, debris removal, light drywall and plaster repairs, masking, priming, and detailed finish painting. Walls and ceilings received primer followed by two to three coats of Sherwin-Williams ProMar E/S using D-BAT franchise-specific colors. Steel and metal surfaces were primed with B-I-N Shellac Primer and coated with Sherwin-Williams DTM Semi-Gloss in D-BAT’s signature gold finish. Doors and frames were sanded, cleaned, masked, and finished with Sherwin-Williams Pro Industrial Waterbased Alkyd Urethane Semi-Gloss for added durability in the high-traffic environment.
One of the most visually important features of the project was a custom gold stripe painted throughout the facility to align with D-BAT franchise branding standards and create a cohesive athletic atmosphere.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:
One of the primary challenges involved working alongside multiple trades in an active construction environment. Freshly painted walls, frames, and doors were frequently exposed to scratches and damage from lifts, tools, and ongoing contractor traffic, requiring continuous touch-ups and refinishing throughout the project.
Another major challenge involved maintaining perfectly level branding stripes throughout a facility with uneven floor elevations. The crew carefully measured and used specialized leveling techniques to ensure the gold stripe appeared visually straight and consistent throughout the entire building despite variations in the floor levels.
Delivering clean lines, brand consistency, and durable finishes while adapting to an evolving construction schedule required flexibility, attention to detail, and strong coordination throughout the project.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT USED:
Due to the height and scale of the indoor athletic facility, scissor lifts were used to safely access ceilings, upper walls, and elevated steel surfaces.

THE FINAL RESULT
The completed project transformed the newly constructed facility into a polished, professional athletic training environment fully aligned with D-BAT franchise branding standards. Bold color schemes, durable coatings, and detailed branding elements created a clean and energetic atmosphere for athletes, families, and staff.
The project was completed successfully and helped ensure the D-BAT De Pere location was ready to open on schedule. The owners were extremely pleased with the final outcome and the painting team’s ability to maintain a high-quality finish throughout the project.
