In July 2025, CertaPro Painters® partnered with the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay to refresh John Robishaw Hall, a three-story residence hall housing 113 students.
Built in 1997 and named after John I. Robishaw—an Army veteran, CPA, and key contributor to UWGB’s housing expansion, the building provides private room apartment-style living for students.
With decades of use and hundreds of students cycling through its units, the facility was ready for a full-scale interior update as part of a broader renovation project.
PROJECT SCOPE:
PROJECT SCOPE:Our team repainted the student units, including bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and living areas, as well as the hollow metal door frames.
Prior to painting, minor plaster repairs were made inside the apartments, and stucco repairs were completed on the front façade of the building where the hall’s name is displayed. The project excluded common areas and hallways, focusing entirely on the private student living spaces.
To achieve a fresh and durable finish, we applied two coats of Sherwin-Williams Promar 200 HP Semi-Gloss in UWGB White Lace on walls and ceilings, and two coats of Sherwin-Williams Pro Industrial Acrylic Semi-Gloss in Sealskin on the hollow metal door frames.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:
This project had a firm deadline, with work beginning July 7 and needing to be completed before students returned on August 1.
Coordinating alongside other contractors—such as flooring specialists updating carpet and tile—required precise scheduling and efficiency. Our crew worked diligently to complete the project in just over two weeks, ensuring the residence hall was ready for the upcoming school year.

THE FINAL RESULT
When the project was completed, CertaPro’s professionals surveyed the area and took images of the newly painted interior.
