CHURCH PROJECT IN APPLETON, WI
In November 2020, St. Mary’s Catholic Church contacted CertaPro Painters® of NE Wisconsin to help with some exterior sections of the church. The front door frames and surrounding windows were badly peeling, creating the need for a new fresh coat. The severe nature of the failing paint created an unappealing look to an otherwise beautiful structure.
CertaPro Painters® intially scraped and sanded the area to remove the previous paint coat. The frames were subsequently cleaned and caulked to ensure an even coating for the newly applied paint. To complete the job an oil-based wood primer was used in spot priming, followed by a satin SuperPaint® for a appealing, professional finish.
A PEELING FRAME
Before the project began, CertaPro Painters® gathered an image of the peeling wooden frames to compare with the completed work.
PAINTING AT ST. MARY’S
Pictures were taken of CertaPro’s crew working on the church’s exterior to show glimpses of the methods used to complete the job.
Painting In Progress
CertaPro used an oil primer after cleaning to ensure a strong and uniform finish to the frames.
THE FINAL RESULT
When the project was completed, CertaPro’s professionals surveyed the area and took images of the newly painted frames on the exterior of St. Mary’s.
