Shaw’s North Easton Plaza

Plaza Painting Project Case Study

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
Shaw’s had moved into the plaza and they had refreshed their side of the plaza. The rest of the plaza was in
tough shape with a lot of peeling paint, touch up paint areas showing severe discoloration, and rotted wood
throughout.

The project involved heavily scrapping/sanding of the wood clapboards and fascia on 2/3’s of the front and
all of the right side of the plaza to remove all the peeling paint. We filled holes where old signage had been,
along with replacing a bunch of rotted fascia and clapboards to make the substrate water tight.

CHALLENGES:
We had to work around 10 different business’s that were open most hours of the day, including a Bank of
America drive-thru, a Citizens bank, and a few other misc. businesses. We did this by sectioning off areas
we were working in to create a safe area, while allowing the surrounding business to operate without
interruption.

We utilized a scissor lift, along with ladders, in order to minimize impact to businesses, but get the project
done as efficiently as possible.

PROJECT TIMELINE
Starting in October 2024, the project was completed in 5 days.

THE FINAL RESULTS
A fresh look for Shaw’s in the North Easton Plaza.
