Shopping Plaza Painting Project Case Study

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
Rear concrete block on two side of building was peeling badly, coming off in sheets. It was clear the
previous paint job was not prepped very well under and was leading to the massive paint failure.

The project included heavily scrapping the concrete block to remove all loose/peeling paint, sanding areas, then fully priming the substrate with appropriate primer to ensure good adhesion moving forward.

CHALLENGES:
Challenges involved working in an area that was the truck route for drop offs at the neighboring Stop and
Shop. Also, the rear area was the break spot for most of the business operating out of the building, so we were able to coordinate with their needs as we went.

The project was produced with a scissor lift and ladders to make sure we were able to move through the job efficiently.

PROJECT TIMELINE
Starting in August 2024, the project was completed in 5 days.

THE FINAL RESULTS
A fresh look for the rear-side of the building in the Hazard Ave Shopping Plaza.
