Screened in Porch Painting & Carpentry Project
Our team recently renovated a screened in porch at a home in Brentwood, TN. This porch was a custom build, and required additional carpentry work. Our team refreshed the interior and exterior of the porch in just 4 days. You can learn all the details about this exterior service below.
About the Project:
Condition of Home:
When I had went out to give the customer the estimate it was mainly a fresh coat of paint on the exterior of the home, with minor repairs and taking off some dental molding. They had a gondola that was needing a new stain on it. They had a whole screened in porch that was needing repainted on the interior and exterior of it, as well as replacing the wood paneling on it. A lot of screened in porches we can typically take out the screen and put them back in but on this specific porch it was a custom build, leading us to replace the screens to be able to paint. On one of the sides there was a cement block wall built to keep water out between the wood and the garden, it was failing. We replaced the side of the wood and put a sealant to keep the water from coming through. The color they had chose for the exterior turned out lovely!
Project Involvement:
This project had multiple carpentry repairs and replacements. Mainly paint focused but did have their gondola restained.
Special Challenges:
What we thought was going to be an easy removal of the screens in the screened in porch turned out to be customized windows. So we did end up making new screens as we need to paint the majority of the windows.
Special Techniques:
Removal and replacement of the window screens and door screens. We also sealed and replaced the wooden paneling to keep the water from failing one of the sides of the porch.
