Residential Painting in Spring Hill
CertaPro Painters® of Mobile and Baldwin Counties
Residential Painting of Historic Home
In December 2021, CertaPro Painters® of Mobile and Baldwin Counties was contracted to repair and repaint this historic home in Spring Hill. It was long overdue for maintenance and paint work. Previous paint jobs were failing, and sheets of paints were peeling off the exterior of the home.
CHALLENGES:
Projects of this size often present their own specific set of hurdles. Special equipment is frequently needed and communication among the team is a must to ensure an efficient framework in which tasks are completed. Due to failures of previous paint systems, special care was given to removing failing layers and repairing cracked stucco surfaces. CertaPro is always very careful, but Spanish Tile Roofs present special challenges. Our Crew placed fixed walking boards on ladders to avoid putting any weight on the tile roofing.
CONDITIONS:
- Cracked Stucco – The exterior of the home had multiple places where the stucco had begun to crack.
- Worn Paint – The old layers of paint were failing and chipping, and required a refresh.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Prep – CertaPro thoroughly pressure washed and cleaned the home before scraping and removing all the failing paint.
- Paint – After prep work was complete, the failing areas were then retextured and primed before being repainted.
PROJECT TIMELINE – 2 weeks
