Col. Carey (ret.) Participates in IHA Economics Roundtable Discussion

Colonel Steve Carey (retired) was among the distinguished group participating in a national teleconferece sponsored by IHS Economics. The topic was the importance of small business, and particuarlly franchises, in our communities. Other participants included Congressman Byrne, International Franchise Association CEO Robert Cresanti, and was facilitated by a representative from IHS Economics. During the call, to support the emphasis on franchisings success nationally, Col. Carey highlighed the following points:

• Franchising continues to be a tremendous business model for growing our nations economy and helping entrepreneurs achieve the American Dream.
• It is very satisfying to learn from today’s forecast report that the franchise sector grew gaster than overall GDP in 2016 and will continue to outpace overall economic growth in 2017.
• Small businesses are overloaded with regulations and desperately need relief to protect opportunity for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
• Col. Carey’s CertaPro Painters^® franchise has grown to become a multi-million dollar producer and is now one of the largest repaint companies in Alabama.
