This family inherited a beautiful house from an Aunt, which, while charming, had outdated walls and aesthetics in East Brunswick, NJ. The walls had a unique high gloss texture, reflecting the old-school Russian details the Aunt had incorporated. The homeowners aimed to update the house to reflect their style while preserving these details. To achieve this, extensive prep work was necessary to respect and highlight the unique features. The walls, with their high gloss finish, required special attention during preparation. Floors and furniture were carefully protected during this process. Our main focus was on wall preparation, including thorough sanding and priming with a bonding primer to ensure the new paint adhered properly. Sherwin Williams paint and primer were chosen to complement the meticulous sanding and prep work, resulting in a beautifully updated home that still honors its heritage. The house took a total of 5 days of renovation.
