In October 2025, CertaPro Painters® of McHenry, IL completed a two-day exterior refresh for a home in Algonquin, Illinois. While the home was well cared for, several elements had become outdated and in need of a modern update. The homeowner wanted to elevate the look of their property with a new color scheme and updated details that would enhance curb appeal.

Scope of the Project:
The crew prepped and painted key exterior surfaces including the cedar siding, soffits, door frames, trim, fascia, and outdoor lighting fixtures on both the front and sides of the home. Caulking was performed to seal gaps and protect the woodwork. The homeowner also requested a special service: removal of the old shutters.
Special Techniques:
Going from a light beige color to a deep navy required extra preparation to ensure proper adhesion and consistent coverage, crisp lines, and long-lasting durability. Multiple coats were applied for a smooth, uniform finish that held true to the new design vision.
