Brick Revival: Custom Exterior Painting

Scope of the Project:

The exterior upgrade included painting of the soffits, siding, entryway door and frames, as well as garage doors and frames.

To ensure the integrity and longevity of the new finish, the team began by power washing all surfaces—including the cedar siding and brick—to create a clean, primed foundation.

Once prepared, the brick was coated using Sherwin-Williams Loxon® Self-Cleaning Acrylic, a product specifically chosen for its durability and resistance to the elements.

The overall goal was to not only change the color palette of the home, but to significantly elevate its visual impact within the community.

The Results:

While the project didn’t pose significant logistical challenges, it required an expert level of skill and attention to detail, especially when working with the brick surfaces.

Achieving the desired look meant carefully diluting and texturizing the paint to complement the natural dimension of the brick, striking a balance between full coverage and organic character. This nuanced technique required seasoned knowledge of both product behavior and surface absorption.

Additionally, lifts were used to access higher elevations safely and efficiently, allowing the team to maintain quality and consistency across all areas of the home.
