Commercial Project Highlight

In this case study, we recap a commercial painting project that was completed in August of 2019 for the Bible-Way Cogic Church in Everett, WA. We detail some of the challenges that our painting crew faced and share some before and after photos below.

Describe the condition of the facility/surfaces at the time work began.

The church exterior had been neglected for many years. There was extensive peeling of lead-based paint.

What did the project involve? (painting, drywall/light carpentry repairs, etc.)

Prep work consisted of scraping the original paint, priming, and applying a fresh coat of paint. Extensive use of caulk and light carpentry.

How long did the project take, start to finish?

The project was completed in 6 days.

Were there any special challenges involved?

Yes, lead abatement and containment of hazard lead paint during prep. Extensive prep and priming.

Did the project require any special equipment or techniques?

Lead containment and disposal of hazardous material.
