A Warehouse Project In Dulles, VA
In September 2020, CertaPro Painters® of Loudoun, VA was asked to assist with the painting of a warehouse in an Industrial Park near Dulles Airport. The Hilldrup depot was 783 ft. long with high levels of semitruck traffic. The property was dirty and dingy, requiring the need of a new appearance. CertaPro’s professionals helped coordinate a plan to transform the warehouse exterior with some newly added appeal.
The Hilldrup depot was thoroughly power washed over a five day period using 80 ft. lifts. The team subsequently began painting the facade and sides, starting with the higher sections. The three-color palette on the exterior highlighted the necessity for heavy masking to make sure windows and wall sections were not incorrectly painted.
BEFORE PHOTOS
CertaPro Painters® took pictures of the warehouse before they began painting. Snapshots of the previous conditions were used as a contrast to the finishing efforts of CertaPro’s team.
Faded Windows and Trim
The windows and trim were faded along with the large sections of the Hilldrup warehouse.
Worn Color Contrast
The color contrast of the exterior became muted over time, losing its appeal and pop.
Peeling Exterior Paint
Exterior paint began to fail and peel from the walls, leaving sections exposed and bare.

PAINTING THE HILLDRUP DEPOT

Lift Painting
An 80 ft. lift was used to paint the high and hard to reach sections of the Hilldrup Depot.
Exterior Masking
Windows and wall sections were covered to make sure areas were all properly painted.
Lower Level Painting
CertaPro's team took special care on the lower levels as well for a uniform look to the exterior.
THE FINAL RESULT
When the plan was completed, images were gathered of the finished product. The warehouse received a refreshed exterior, adding some much needed street appeal to the industrial park.
