Our painters were recently called out to a home in need of a deck rebuild. Living in Arkansas, we often see severe weather, and this home was impacted by a tornado that impacted our area. This project took us two weeks to complete. You can learn more details below.
About the Project:
Condition of the home:
On May 31, 2023, Little Rock saw a historic tornado devastate a path through the middle of Little Rock. It went through heavily populated areas. This home was just at the edge of that path and the deck was heavily damaged by the storm, narrowly missing the house itself.
Project Involvement:
This was a heavy carpentry project. We completely dismantled what was left of the deck and built a new one its place, from the ground up. The customer quipped in their Google review that no tornado would tear this deck down. We had to rebuild the deck, the covered area and roof, the fence and the stairs
Special Challenges:
The deck fence used horizontal metal wires instead of spindles.
