Tate SmithResidential Production Associate

My name is Tate Smith and I joined CertaPro Painters Little Rock in May 2022 as a Residential Production Associate.

Having grown up in Springhill, Louisiana around my dad’s custom cabinet shop, I became acquainted with residential painting at an early age. It was from time spent working with my dad in his shop that allowed me to finetune my problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail and hardworking attitude, skills I pride myself on to this day.

Upon graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, I returned to my dad’s cabinet shop to further grow my knowledge of all things residential painting and construction. Around this time, I also flipped my first residential property.

After a few years in Springhill, I relocated to Dallas, Texas to pursue a career in project management with a residential contractor. In this position, I helped homeowners renovate the floors in their home after filing insurance claims. The bulk of my work revolved around managing work crews and keeping homeowners apprised of project statuses from demolition to installation. From this position, I learned a great deal about juggling multiple projects at once, managing work crews and providing top-notch customer service to ensure homeowner satisfaction.

I look forward to adding my skills and knowledge to the CertaPro team.  I want to help our customers make their dreams a reality on their home-improvement projects.

In my free time, I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors – whether that be through hiking, golfing, bike riding, hunting or archery – and with family and friends.
