Back in 2017, CertaPro Painters of Central Arkansas was contacted to repaint the interior ceiling of the ACE Glass Warehouse in Little Rock, AR. CHALLENGES:The enormous size of the project required mobilizing our best painters and project coordinators to get the job done right.
The height of the ceiling necessitated the use of scissor lifts to cover all parts of the warehouse ceiling. Sherwin Williams Dryfall had to be used as well, as its patented formula is the best choice for painting warehouse ceilings with minimal cleanup.
Our crew worked worked long hours on a tight timeline to hit our deadline.
CONDITIONS:
Bare Metal Ceiling – The ceiling had no previous product applied, and was exposed to the elements for years on end. The property sitting vacant for so long also contributed to the accumulation of dust in and around the warehouse loading docks.
Rusted Surfaces – The interior’s proximity to the loading docks meant it was open to decay and degradation that manifested itself as excessive rust across the ceiling.
Faded Color Accents – The yellow color accents this building originally had, were faded and discolored after years of neglect.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
Preparations – Supplies were brought to the project site including multiple scissor lifts, an ample supply of Sherwin Williams Dryfall, & numerous paint sprayers to maximize productivity.
Pressure Washing – Whether the concern is loose paint or simple dust and debris, pressure washing all surfaces before painting is both standard and essential before painting can begin.
Ceiling Painting – Sherwin Williams Dryfall was chosen due to its unique design. Any overspray from this product dries to dust before it hits the ground, allowing for simple sweeping for easy cleanup. After the ceiling was painted, our CertaPro team finished the job by repainting the yellow color accents around the facility for a professional look that will last in the years to come.

Before Photos
Before the project began we surveyed the entire 60,000 square feet of warehouse. The empty warehouse was left with a layer of dust and dirt that had to be power washed away. Many of the previously painted pieces were badly discolored. There was an overall dinginess to the inside of this building.
After Photos
After the project was completed we took photos of the restored warehouse. The ceiling updates brightened the whole warehouse. Trim and safety markings are also up to date now.
