Condition of the Facilities at the Start

At the start of the project, each of the four Jiffy Lube buildings was in fair condition structurally. The existing paint was faded, giving the properties a worn look, but there were no significant damages or hazards that required major intervention. While the bones of the buildings were solid, all four needed repairs before painting could begin, especially to prepare the surfaces to hold up against the Arkansas weather and daily wear from business operations.

What the Project Involved

This rebrand was more than just a coat of paint. Each location needed surface repairs and careful preparation before painting could even begin. Our crew handled a number of repairs, including Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) repair, which was necessary to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the new paint.

Additionally, due to the size and height of the buildings, we relied on lift work to access higher sections of the exterior. This was especially important for reaching and repainting overhead bay doors, a feature at all four sites. The goal was to deliver a clean, consistent appearance across all locations that matched the new national branding standards, and that meant attention to every surface—top to bottom.

Special Challenges

One of the biggest challenges of this project was the tight timeline. We had just one week to complete all four locations, and since Jiffy Lube operates throughout the day, much of our work had to happen after hours or during off-peak times. This included working through a long holiday weekend to keep the project moving and avoid any disruption to normal business operations.

Timing wasn’t our only obstacle. Weather in Arkansas can be unpredictable, especially in May. Our team had to stay flexible with the schedule and respond quickly when weather delayed progress. Despite that, our crew pushed forward to complete all four buildings on time without cutting corners.

Equipment and Techniques

To tackle a project of this scale and height, we brought in special equipment including articulating lifts, which gave our crew the ability to access hard-to-reach areas safely and efficiently. These lifts were key to completing work on higher sections of the buildings, including the tops of walls and tall overhead bay doors.

We also used commercial-grade exterior coatings specifically chosen to withstand the demands of high-traffic automotive service locations. This ensures that the finish will last, even with regular exposure to the elements and daily vehicle activity.
