Decks can wear easily due to a number of things such as pets, sunlight, rain, snow, even foot traffic. Stain acts as a protective barrier between the wood, this helps protect your deck from mold and rot. The first tip when picking out a stain is to look at the exterior paint on the home. You want these two to compliment each other. Test the stain out before giving the crews the go ahead to stain the entire deck.
Gray Stain – This will give a shore house vibe to your home. It is a subtly choice so it will not be the primary focus of your home.
Green Stain – This looks great if you live in an area with a lot of foliage. It compliments nature and looks great with tan exteriors.
Blue Stain – This is a more modern choice that will add a pop of color to your home. We love blue stained decks when paired with tan exteriors. There are also so many different shades you go with depending on your personal taste.
Red Stain – Red stain is a bold choice and will make a statement. We usually see this against brick homes. When we use red stain we use a smaller amount so it isn’t too overwhelming.
Taupe Stain- This is a great color idea for any exterior. It works great with other colors and allows you to have a little fun with your patio furniture colors.
