Katy Residential Interior Kitchen Painting Project

The Homeowner has lived in the house for several years and it was time to update the look and feel. The walls were worn, the wallpaper in the kitchen was dated and it was time for a professional makeover.

The walls had minor cracks in the sheetrock, which occurs in all homes in the Houston Area. These minor cracks were patched and repaired prior to painting.

The kitchen had wallpaper that was quite dated. The wallpaper was successfully removed from all surfaces and texture was applied to the walls to match the existing texture in the home and then the walls were painted.

Wallpaper removal can be a challenge. In some instances, when wallpaper is incorrectly installed, it can adhere to the drywall in a way that damages the drywall when it is removed. The painting professionals have to continually assess the removal to ensure they are not causing additional damage to the home. While that was not the case in this specific project, our team will discuss options with the homeowner when that does occur.
