Paint Colors for Condos and Apartments

Posted on November 1, 2021

Our team at CertaPro Painters® of Highlands Ranch not only paints homes but we also paint commercial building such as condos and apartments. Most complexes will allow tenants to paint their space, as long as it is back to the original color at the time of move out. Many people appreciate this flexibility, because even though you didn’t buy the property you should still be able to feel at home while you are living there. Whether you own a condo/apartment or are currently living in one and looking to make it more homey, keep on reading. These are some ideas for the best paint colors for apartments and condos!

  1. White – If you own a complex this is probably going to at the top of your list. Many real estate agents are suggesting clean and simple is the way to go. It also allows the tenant to visualize their own personal style in the space which makes them more likely to rent. One the other hand, if you living in an all white apartment, you may be getting a little bored. If you don’t want to paint the entire unit, try incorporating different colored accents into the space. We would recommend starting off by paint the door and window trim.
  2. Sky Blue – This can be a great alternative to white. It still conveys simplicity and cleanliness while still adding a little bit of character into the space. It is also neutral enough that you won’t have to worry too much about clashing colors when it comes time to add in your décor. This paint color is also known to be extremely calming, and who doesn’t want that?
  3. Dark Blue – If you want to make a statement, use a bold color in a small space. If you have a larger apartment of condo, you probably don’t want it all to be dark blue. However, this would work well in adark blue apartment studio apartment. It creates depth and a moody atmosphere.
  4. Black – This is becoming one of the most popular trends, not only in homes but in apartments and condos as well. More and more we are seeing black accents on the kitchen cabinets and trim.
  5. Sage Green – Another rapidly growing trend. We love this color when used in the kitchen. We have seen sage green walls paired with dark teal kitchen cabinets and it looked stunning.
