So how do you find the right color for you and your unique space? Use Color Theory. Typically, companies will choose one of four color schemes: Complementary, monochromatic, triadic or tertiary. Creating a scheme like this will help you achieve a cohesive look.

Complementary Color Scheme – You will want to start by picking a main color and then use the color wheel to find that colors opposite or complimentary color. The second color will be used for accents and highlights. Some examples of this are orange and blue, purple and yellow, red and green.

Monochromatic Color Scheme- This scheme uses one color but three different tones or variations of it. An example of this would be pink red and maroon.

Triadic Color Scheme- This one involves three evenly spaced colors on the color wheel. The most basic examples of this scheme are using the primary colors: red, blue, and yellow, and the secondary colors: orange, purple, and green.

Tertiary Color Scheme- The last scheme uses combination of a secondary color and a primary color. Examples of this type of scheme include: yellow-orange, red-orange, red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green and yellow-green.
