Prior to opening CertaPro Painters of Hanover-Chesterfield, Steve spent nearly 20 years as a general manager in the home improvement retail industry. Most of his childhood was spent in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, NC. Steve attended East Carolina University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, then joined Walmart for 10+ years. He is married to his amazing wife Renee, and is the proud father of 2 sons, Ryan and Adam. They have been residents in the Hanover community for over 15 years.
Asked to sum up his business philosophy, Steve was quoted as saying “Throughout my home improvement career, I had countless conversations with customers about their home project experiences. While some of the outcomes were positive, many highlighted their frustrations around lack of communication, workmanship and a finished product that was unacceptable.
