What started as a small commercial swimming pool and recreational facility management business in 1972 grew into a multi-faceted property services company, eventually leading to the creation of CertaPro Painters. Today, Steve and Brigitte carry on that legacy of Canadian business excellence, ensuring that their franchise upholds the highest standards of service and professionalism.

A True Hamilton Native: Steve’s Story
Born and raised in Hamilton’s East End, Steve is a product of W.H. Ballard Public School, Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, and McMaster University. His strong ties to the city, combined with years of corporate experience, led him to pursue entrepreneurship in his hometown. Today, he takes immense pride in serving the community he grew up in, ensuring every home and business gets the professional, high-quality painting services it deserves.
From Montreal to Hamilton: Brigitte’s Journey
Brigitte brings a unique blend of international experience and Canadian pride to the business. Originally from Montreal, Quebec, she is a bilingual CPA who has lived in Bermuda, Luxembourg, and the United States before settling in Ontario in 1999. In 2022, she left a successful finance career to join Steve in running CertaPro Painters® of Hamilton. As co-owner, she oversees all administrative functions and works with Steve on strategic initiatives to drive the company forward. When not working, Brigitte enjoys traveling with Steve and their two children, always embracing their Canadian roots wherever they go.
