CertaPro Painters® of Greensboro Supports The Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund

In 2001, Brian Joyce and his family founded the Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund in honor of his father. While Barry was fighting his courageous battle against prostate cancer, he decided to create something that provided direct relief to local cancer patients who don’t have the resources necessary to fight cancer on their own.

After Barry’s untimely death, the Joyce family was able to honor their father’s wish and establish the Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund, which provides financial resources to people living with cancer and in need.

For the past eleven years, CertaPro Painters® of Greensboro, NC has sponsored the fund’s largest fundraiser — the Kicking Cancer Challenge Golf Tournament. Additionally, CertaPro Painters® of Greensboro, NC was one of the founding sponsors (and painters!) of The Barry Joyce Cancer Resource Center, which was built in 2013.

Brian and his wife both serve on the board of the Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund and are actively engaged with the resource center.
