CertaPro Greensboro Volunteers at Family Room

Posted on February 21, 2023

Members of the CertaPro Greensboro team have started volunteering at Family Room in Greensboro.  Family Room is a non-profit dedicated to supporting foster families by providing necessities for the children in their care.  According to Carrie Thompson, Executive Director and founder, many foster placements happen with short notice and the children frequently have nothing more than the clothes they are wearing when they come to a foster family.  Family Room provides a variety of supplies ranging from diapers, clothing (including coats), car seats, cribs, beds, toys, games and a variety of other items all free to the foster families.  Their motto is ‘not everyone can foster, but everyone can help.’

The CertaPro team helped sort clothing, organized some of the off-season items in storage and checked donated toys to ensure they were in working order.
