We completed this interior and exterior painting and window treatment project in August 2021 for Walter M. Williams High School in Burlington, NC.

Our Residential Sales Manager, Elliot Cole, is an alumnus of Walter M. Williams High School, and is currently assistant coach of the school basketball team. It’s always nice to work with clients who have a meaningful connection to members of our team and community.

The problem to be solved:

The interior walls of the building, including long hallways and classrooms of varying shapes, sizes, and specialties, were dirty and faded. On the school’s exterior, the window glazing was failing due to extensive weathering, and the canopies and railings were also faded and peeling.

This commercial painting and window treatment project had a fixed start and end time; we were given eight weeks total to complete the job, and had to work around the schedule of summer school classes and occasional bouts of difficult weather conditions.

Problem solver solution:

For the school’s interior, we repainted the hallways and several special purpose classrooms (art, orchestra, band, and choir). On the exterior of the building we reglazed the windows and applied a fresh coat of paint to the canopies and railings. For safe access to high exterior areas that required our attention, we used two large boom lifts measuring 80 and 40 feet, respectively.

Final result:

We completed this project for Walter M. Williams High School in about seven weeks — well ahead of the eight week deadline we were given. After our work was done, the school’s walls, windows, railings, and canopies all looked fresh, clean, and ready for the school year.
