Food Lion

Food Lion is a grocery store chain in the southeast. CertaPro Painters of Greensboro was asked to paint the exterior of a location in High Point, NC.

The problem to be solved:

In the final weeks of December of 2021, the weather proved to be unseasonably warm. CertaPro Painters of Greensboro took advantage of this, and completed a project to put a fresh coat of paint on the side and back of the Food Lion grocery store in a little over three days. The tradeoff for warm weather was high winds during the project, which, when combined with the height of the building, created a risk of paint spray travel. The surfaces of the side and back of the grocery store were fading, and there were numerous areas of “base coat failure,” where earlier coats of paint de-laminated from the wall exposing the bare block wall.

The experts at CertaPro Painters of Greensboro began by pressure washing the building and scraping off loose paint. Following this, they sanded the metal railings and related areas, and spot primed and re-coated all areas. To reach the highest areas of the building, a lift was required, which added a unique challenge due to the wind.

Final Result:

The Food Lion grocery store got a fresh new look which will last them many years and will protect the exterior from the elements. Check out the photos below!
