First Friends Meeting Church

First Friends Meeting Church is a Quaker Church located in Greensboro, NC. It also serves as a community meeting house. In April 2021, CertaPro Painters® of Greensboro was hired to update the church’s interior paint.

The problem to be solved:

The offices, hallways, restrooms, and stairwells of First Friends Meeting Church hadn’t been painted in many years, so the paint was very faded. We also had to work in tight corners, and the block walls were very porous in some areas, particularly the restrooms and closets. Additionally, people remained in some of the offices and rooms throughout the project.

Problem solver solution:

Over three weeks, we transformed the church’s interior. Our crew meticulously masked everything off due to the close quarters. We also made sure we caused as little disruption as possible to those who were carrying out the regular business of the church.

Final result:

We took the interior of First Friends Meeting Church from faded to fresh. The church staff appreciated all of our hard work, and Jay Bumm, the congregant in charge of the project, gave us this review – https://goo.gl/maps/hFdqei8Pdp4GASdz5

All areas needed to have plastic and tape to protect the unpainted surfaces.

All painters wore masks and adhered to all COVID safety protocols during the project.

Office area prepped for painting.

Three different large stairwells were part of the scope of the project.

Freshly painted stairwell.

The lead congregant, Jay Bumm, gives a tour of the refreshed facility.

First Friends has been meeting in this building since its construction in 1957.
