Commercial Case Study
Brooks Brothers Storefront at Friendly Center Shopping Mall
Brooks Brothers Mall Painting Project
Project Overview
CertaPro of Greensboro was asked to paint the Brooks Brothers building at Friendly Center, a large outdoor shopping mall in Greensboro. The building featured unpainted brick and several architectural features to paint around (such as canopies).
The Challenge
The crew needed to paint the storefront exterior in a high-traffic mall environment, requiring careful coordination to avoid disrupting any shoppers. The unpainted brick and architectural details demanded precision to ensure clean lines and even coverage—all while preventing overspray or paint drips on other nearby buildings, parked cars, and shoppers.
Our Approach
The CertaPro Greensboro team first pressure-washed the entire building during off-hours. Next, the crew used a special masonry primer, and a lift to access the upper areas. Due to the close proximity to other buildings, cars, and shoppers, our team used power rollers instead of sprayers for the painting phase. We applied two finish coats of grey paint to ensure proper coverage and long-lasting results.
The Final Result
The crew finished the project in four days, minimizing any impact on the store (which was open during the project completion). The customer was very happy with the transformation and new look of their building.
