In March 2024, CertaPro Painters® of Grand Rapids completed a stunning cabinet painting project for a home in Rockford, Michigan. The homeowners wanted to refresh their kitchen with a modern two-tone look that would add brightness and style without replacing the cabinets entirely. Our team carefully prepped every surface, including cleaning, light sanding, and removing all doors and drawer fronts, to ensure a flawless finish.
Each cabinet component received oil-based primer and was lightly scuff-sanded between coats for maximum adhesion and durability. The upper and lower cabinets were sprayed with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel, color-matched to Benjamin Moore OC-127 White Chocolate, while the kitchen island was finished in Black Magic (SW 6991) for a subtle yet dramatic contrast. The result is a bright, refreshed kitchen that combines timeless elegance with long-lasting durability, delighting the homeowners.
