A Fresh, Vibrant Interior Refresh for The Little Gym in Southern New Jersey
Posted on February 23, 2026
When a children’s gym is full of energy, the space should feel the same way. Recently, our team at CertaPro Painters completed a commercial interior repaint for a Little Gym location in Clarksboro, New Jersey. The owner wanted a bold, vibrant color change to refresh the facility with custom “Little Gym” colors—while keeping classes running on schedule and the space easy to clean for the long haul.
The goal: a durable color change without disrupting operations
This facility sees constant activity—kids, coaches, and equipment moving all day long. The owner’s priorities were clear:
A brighter, more modern look with vibrant, custom brand-style colors
A durable finish that can handle scuffs, fingerprints, and frequent wipe-downs
No disruption to operating hours, classes, or members
To make that happen, we built the schedule around their business needs: we started on Friday, worked through the weekend, and finished up on Monday.
Why a semi-gloss finish
Because this was a high-traffic kids’ environment, wall durability and cleanability were key. We used a semi-gloss sheen to help the gym:
wipe down walls more easily
resist marks and smudges better than flatter finishes
maintain a crisp, vibrant appearance over time
Semi-gloss is a great option in active commercial interiors—especially where walls take a beating and need frequent cleaning.
Special considerations: protecting equipment + wall prep for a high-sheen result
Painting a gym isn’t like painting an empty office. With large mats, training equipment, and fixtures throughout the space, protection and prep mattered just as much as the painting itself.
Here’s how we approached it:
Protected all gym equipment carefully before work began
Prepped surfaces thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion and uniform sheen
Repaired holes, dings, and blemishes so they wouldn’t “flash” or stand out under the higher sheen
Maintained clean work areas and controlled our workflow so the facility stayed safe and organized
High-sheen finishes look great—but they also show imperfections more easily. That’s why we put extra attention into patching and smoothing walls before the first coat went on.
The result: vibrant, refreshed, and built to last
By the time we wrapped up on Monday, the gym had a noticeably refreshed interior with bold, upbeat color zones—creating a more energetic atmosphere for kids and families, and a more polished look overall.
The new finish will also help the owner and staff keep the space looking cleaner with regular wipe-downs—an important benefit in a busy children’s facility.
