This Kitchen and bath in Goodyear, AZ. was in need of a facelift, its original wood grain cabinets no longer suited the homeowner’s tastes, and as part of a larger remodeling and redecorating plan they decided to refinish them.

The Preparation Process
The first step is to remove drawers and doors and sand down all the surfaces before spraying. Spraying on paint delivers a very fine even finish that mimics the original process used to achieve the cabinet’s original finish. The doors and drawer fronts are sprayed separately outside of the work area.
While The Work Was in progress…
You can see how the work areas are heavily protected with plastic and the areas to be painted are taped off to protect everything in the surrounding area. Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer was used, followed by a coat of Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim paint which was applied with a spray rig.

The results are flawless, the finish is smooth and uniform and with just the right amount of gloss. The woodgrain is a distant memory and the new look is completely up-to-date in terms of style.
