Conditions:

The AIC Royal Paper Converting Facility is a paper mill, converting, and distribution center. It is one of the leading privately-owned manufacturers of personal and commercial paper products in the United States. The building had not been painted in many years and had chipped and faded paint.

Challenges:

The building was faded, peeling, dry wall repairs needed, and new dock door numbers.

Project Involvement:

    • Dry wall repairs
    • Painting
    • stucco repairs
    • Power wash all surfaces to remove dirt deposits and debris prior to painting
    • Scrape loose and peeling paint
    • Scuff sand all doors and metal surfaces to promote adhesion
    • Spot prime bare substrates to include any patch work
    • Caulk around door frames as necessary
    • Caulk cracks and gaps

Special Challenges:

A 45′ boom lift was used. Due to the facility being a fast paced and busy working environment, on site coordination with tenants was utilized as well as pre-planning with property manager to ensure smooth process during project.

Before the Painting started…

The AIC Royal Paper Converting Facility was overdue for repainting and required a good deal of prep work as well as interior drywall repair. In order to tackle the job a series of steps involving power washing, caulking, scraping, and stucco repair were required. To paint the entire building a 45′ boom lift was used as well.
