1. What types of preparation need to be done to my house?

• Exteriors: Trim landscaping back 18–24 inches, move furniture and personal items away from the house. We handle all covering and protecting.
• Interiors: We move furniture, remove and replace blinds, and handle heavy lifting. We ask that you move personal valuables (e.g., fine china, pictures, wall décor, and electronics). If wall décor items are going back in the same spot, leave the hardware in the wall for us to paint over. Otherwise, remove the hardware as nail or screw holes are automatically filled.

2. Does all the old paint on my house need to be removed before repainting?

No, you don’t need to remove all old paint. However, any loose, peeling, or flaking paint must be removed. Surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned for proper adhesion, and a high-quality primer can be applied over flaked or peeled areas.

3. What is the purpose of primer, and when is it needed?

Primers are used for specific purposes, such as:

• Blocking water stains from bleeding through the finish.
• Covering markers, grease, or heavy stains.
• Making a dramatic color change.
• Prepping repaired areas or new drywall.

4. How many coats of paint are appropriate for my project?

• Repaints typically need at least two coats of paint.
• New drywall requires a primer coat followed by two topcoats.
• Some colors may require 3–4 coats for full coverage.

5. How long does it take the new paint to dry? What is paint “cure”?

• Drying: Most latex paints dry to the touch in 1–2 hours.
• Curing: Paint reaches maximum hardness and is fully cured in 21–30 days.

6. Is there a difference between hand-brushed and sprayed paint?

• Interior: Cutting and rolling is cleaner and creates less dust, making touch-ups easier.
• Exterior: Spraying is common for achieving proper coverage.

You’ll receive a detailed proposal via email within two business days.

11. I’ve reviewed the proposal and want to proceed. What’s next?

Email or text us your color choices, and we’ll update the proposal. You’ll receive a DocuSign for review and signature. Once signed, your project will be scheduled to start within 2–3 weeks, with a confirmation email sent the Thursday before the scheduled week.

12. How long will the project take?
