Calming Nursery Paint Colors
Posted on January 21, 2022
Our team at CertaPro Painters® of Fredericton has painted many nursery’s over the years. We know how important it is to choose the right paint color for you and your baby. You want a nursery to be a calming space where both you and your baby can spend quality time together and relax. The color of the paint on the walls can have a significant effect on an individual’s mood. Check out the list below for the most calming nursery paint colors.
- Light Blue – This is usually a go-to and why wouldn’t it be? Some of the most relaxing things in life such as the sky and the ocean are blue. Exposure to the color blue can lower blood pressure and reduce heart rate which help prepare the body for sleep. Blue also helps relieve anxious feelings which is perfect for babies.
- Neutrals – Neutrals are very cozy. They are easy on the eyes and perfect for relaxation.
- Pink – Pink represents love and compassion which is great for a baby’s room. This color is known to calm and soothe.
- White – The color of innocence, which is perfect for a nursery! It is peaceful and calm. We would recommend choosing a warm shade of white, not a cooler toned one. You can warm up the room even more through wood and wicker accents. Bring color into the space with greenery and toys.
- Green – This is a popular color choice in homes this year. It can work great in a nursery, by provoking feelings of concentration and reducing anxiety. A light to medium green shade would work great and bring a sense of nature in.
- Lavender – This color is perfect because it is not to overwhelming but still adds something to the same. It will create a serene atmosphere for your baby to sleep.
