IDYL Charter School in Durham North Carolina, one of Durham’s fastest growing K-8 charter schools, trusted CertaPro Painters of Durham to invest in painting several common areas and classrooms during the summer of 2023.

The project included a school spirit accent wall and integrated school colors throughout the space. The project was completed during the summer months while students were on break. The CertaPro painting team has continued its partnership with IDYL leadership. Together, they identified the opportunity to establish a paintenance program for IDYL.

Following the initial large scale investment project, IDYL has engaged CertaPro for annual paintenance. This enables CertaPro to provide annual painting services that fit within the IDYL budget and continuously maintain a fresh look for the school that encourages pride from students and parents.

What did the project involve?
The original large scale investment painting project included some challenging accent walls in school colors and integration of school colors throughout the school in cafeterias, classrooms, stairwells, administrative offices, and more. Today, IDYL’s membership in a paintenance program with CertaPro Painters of Durham, a local veteran owned small business, ensures the space reflects continued attention and care from IDYL leadership while maintaining a cost effective approach to ongoing maintenance needs.

Annual budget challenges addressed by establishing a paintenance program with annual, affordable painting projects to maintain a beautiful environment for students and educators.
