The Proposal
Holton Career & Resource Center’s Maintenance Leadership were looking for a trusted partner with a proven track record to transform multiple spaces within the Durham Public Schools career center. Holton offers many programs that not only are unique to the district but are also unique to the state. The spaces within the career center reflect the diverse and unique career preparation opportunities available at the career center including an auditorium, gym, and barbershop.

The Process & Results
Our team at CertaPro Painters® of Durham, NC were chosen for the job due to our longstanding reputation of professionalism. One of the constraints presented to our team would be to work quickly and respectfully as students were still using the facility during the project along with preserving murals and other semi-permanent art installations throughout the building.

Our team would provide careful preparation, removal of peeling paint, light sanding and repairs followed by matching pre-existing colors and painting the walls (including brick walls), multiple stairwells, gym, and auditorium. The project would take place from the end of April 2025 to mid-May 2025.
