Price Increase on August 1, 2021

Posted on July 2, 2021

There is never an easy way to tell loyal customers that we are taking a price increase. It costs more to paint a house today than it did when we started in 2005. That’s the normal cost of living increases.

This year, normal flew out the window. Every aspect of our business has seen substantial price increases, from insurance and fuel to paint and equipment. Sherwin Williams recently announced its second significant price increase of the year, effective next month.

All in, the increased costs on our business have never been greater.

On the heels of a very difficult 2020, where we kept everyone in our business fully employed and compensated, we are feeling the strain like many other small, family-owned businesses. Unfortunately, we must raise our prices accordingly, beginning August 1, 2021.

If you plan to hire us on an existing proposal, please do so by the end of July or before your 60-day “valid cost” window ends, whichever is longer.  We will honor your proposal price.

If you know the colors for your project, please tell us immediately.  We are ordering and purchasing paint up to 6 weeks in advance because of severe shortages.  Also, please be flexible on paint brands.  At times we may need to change brands based on availability, but we will always shift to a brand and product of equal or better quality.

We have always been upfront with you, and that will not change. We have always done our best to provide discounts to loyal previous customers, and we’ll continue to do our best to provide the great service and painting you deserve at a competitive cost.
