About the Project:
Project Involvement:
CertaPro Painters of Chattanooga took on the challenge of revitalizing an outdated bi-level brick home from the 1980s that was in desperate need of a facelift and essential routine maintenance. The property suffered from rotten wood, failing caulk, peeling paint, and widespread mildew buildup. These issues not only compromised the home’s appearance but also its ability to safeguard its substrates. The project involved applying a masonry primer to the brick, fully replacing rotten front columns, performing light carpentry on the soffit and fascia, and staining brand new wood to bring the customer’s vision to life.
Special Challenges:
Special care was taken when extreme rot was discovered within the front columns. The customer was promptly notified to ensure the job was done correctly with a long-term solution in mind. The requested cedar wood was sourced from local lumber yards to achieve the desired look. Temporary supports were utilized while replacing the columns on the front porch.
Project Timeline:
Overall we finished the project within 5 days.
