Commercial Case Study
First and Market Condos
First and Market Condos Commercial Painting Project
Problem to be solved:
The steel railings at this residential facility, which also hosts several businesses on its bottom floor, had seen plenty of wear and tear, and there were many pockets throughout where paint was peeling and the metal beneath had begun to rust.
Problem solver solution:
The rust issue pervasive throughout points of the stairwell meant that extensive grinding was needed to restore the metal to a state that would accept paint and be safe for the residents to continue using. Some of these areas of rust were along trim lines high on the building, necessitating the usage of a 60′ articulated boom lift. Given the size of this machinery, part of the main street running through downtown Chattanooga had to be closed off to allow our team to establish it in a safe and effective location.
Once the rust had been addressed, a gorgeous coat of dark green paint was applied and then finished off with a layer of epoxy to protect it from the elements for years to come.
Final result:
The building has a beautiful new look for its stairwell, and the potential dangers of the rust problem have been mitigated thanks to our team’s efforts to grind down the problem areas and finish the job off with a layer of epoxy. Check out the video below to see how we got it done!
