Commercial Case Study:

The Citadel – Conditioning Facility

The Client:

Known as “The Dawg Pound”, this athletic facility is located on the campus of the Citadel College. Recently renovated with all new equipment, this 5,500 square-foot conditioning facility is the envy of the Southern Conference.

The Client’s Challenge:

While the new equipment provided physiological benefits to student athletes, the staff felt that the facility itself was worn and did not provide the energy they were looking for. There were two primary objectives: 1) Remove and conceal years of decals that once graced the walls but had since been covered by layers of paint. 2) Complete the project while allowing for access to the facility.

CertaPro’s Solution:

To accomplish this, CertaPro worked with the client to create a detailed work schedule. The plan involved alternating sections of the facility between our crew and the athletes. To remove the decals and repair walls while the athletes were in this space, sanding and HEPA dust extraction equipment was utilized. Finally, a hardened epoxy coating was added to the walls providing long term durability.

The Result:

CertaPro’s solution delivered beautiful results that injected energy into the space while allowing for uninterrupted access during the project.
