A Look Into CertaPro® Painters of Chagrin Falls Commercial Painting

Our team here at CertaPro Painters® of Chagrin Falls completed a large scale commercial painting project back in July 2019. Below is an excerpt from this client’s weekly communication that describes their experience in working with CertaPro Painters® of Chagrin Falls.

Customer feedback plays a very significant role in our process to ensure continued customer satisfaction. From the initial steps of project planning, all the way to project completion, our mission is to give our clients an experience that will leave them happy in their decision to work with CertaPro!

In July 2019 Dave Strahl’s team was brought in to propose the interior painting for 2 retail shopping locations for Cato Corp. Dave quickly worked to provide detailed proposals back to Cato’s Breen Randle, including items brought to Cato’s attention outside of the regular job scope. Cato was so impressed with Dave’s thoroughness and timely response they asked us to have him bid 4 other locations proactively in the Ohio market. Utilizing our established pricing guidance with Cato we were quickly awarded all 6 locations. By securing all 7 projects simultaneously, Dave was able to plan accordingly using the same crew and JSS for consistency.

These projects were uniquely challenging regarding access. Since they were empty stores inside of malls, Dave had to work with each mall manager to gain access and complete the work off hours. Dave’s crew brought their own water & lights to effectively complete the work. Throughout the process Dave was diligent in his communication with Cato, sending detailed before and after photos as they completed projects. Each location also had color & stain matches that required proactive conversations with Cato to align expectations and confirm approvals. Dave’s team flawlessly executed all the soft skills required to manage these projects at a high level.

Dave credits his JSS Scott Krupp with their ability to stay on timeline for the 6 locations. By staying in front of issues that came up and giving extra effort, Scott and his crew finished each location within the timeline given by Cato. When the work was completed, Brenn reached out to heap praises on the efforts of this team. Dave received payment on all 6 locations right in line with Cato’s net 30 terms.

Great work with Dave and the entire team at CertaPro Chagrin Falls! In the past year Strategic Accounts has completed 52 projects with Cato. By delivering on our promises and exceeding expectation we are truly able to leverage the value Strategic Accounts adds to companies like Cato.
