Production Manager

The Production Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure that all painting jobs are completed in a timely manner, delivering certainty for our clients while maintaining safe job sites to meet gross margin goals. What we're looking for

The Production Manager is the point of contact for contracted services to a set of clients and Job Site Supervisors as well as their crews, representing their interests within and across our organization. The Production Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager in a fast paced environment to track status, communicate plans, coordinate resources, drive priorities and ensure that deliverables and timelines are met and that the clients are satisfied with our service, support and responsiveness to the level of referring our organization to others. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for scheduling and dispatch functions/activities. Provides coordination and supervision of assigned crews. Is responsible for directly impacting our clients through direct and indirect communication and training of crews.

The ideal candidate will offer flexibility for working hours during peak season times as required and may include but is not limited to, opening or closing of the office, answering necessary phone calls after standard business hours, etc. We are looking for a professional individual who possesses the ability to prioritize and manage their time appropriately, offer conflict resolution when necessary and perform the responsibilities and duties of said position while aligning themselves with our core values.

General Job Responsibilities and Required Skills
  • ·Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, positive, team-oriented & customer-focused attitude within and between departments.
  • ·Recommends changes or improvements in scheduling and dispatch policies/procedures and implements changes as directed.
  • ·Schedules and adjusts crews for effective/efficient completion of assigned jobs.
  • ·Assists crews with problems occurring in the field as directed.
  • ·Works proactively with related support departments such as TLS (corporate customer service call center), accounting, sales and office staff.
  • ·Ensures all files, records, databases and paperwork are set up, maintained and processed as required in a timely manner with functional responsibilities.
  • ·Marry clients and their specific needs to the qualifications and expertise of each crew.
  • ·Advises the Operations Manager regarding special client and crew needs.
  • ·Proactively communicates updates to customers as required regarding job status and start dates.
  • ·Coach and mentor Job Site Supervisors on the importance of communication with clients once they have been assigned the job.
  • ·Performs accurate alphanumeric data to include job jackets and crew assignments.
  • ·Provides training on company policies and procedures to assigned persons as required.
  • Communicates daily status updates to customers as required regarding job status.
  • ·Provide input regarding performance issues for assigned crews as directed and may recommend corrective action regarding performance issues for assigned crew.
  • ·Work with a common goal of increasing our NPS (Net Promoter Score) with the understanding that we want our business is referral based.
  • ·Generate short- and long-term schedule communicating the next weeks work for construction trades, i.e. carpentry, drywall and painting to both customers and crews.
  • ·Utilize a combination of in-house customer database and white board to execute and manage the joint customer and crew schedules.
  • ·Manage and maintain in-house equipment.
  • ·Forecast and secure specialty equipment needed to reduce potential conflicts.
  • ·Update, edit and maintain a tight 10-day rolling schedule as changes occur due to customer change orders, weather and availability.
  • ·Coordinate with Operations Manager and Office Associate for the most efficient use of crews and equipment.
  • ·Work with Operations Manager to increase efficiency while keeping with the overall vision and yearly goals of the department.
  • ·Attend mandatory weekly meetings with the Operations Manager to review previous weeks and current job goals (GS&R).
  • ·Assist in scheduling crew needs and appropriate training.
  • ·Maintain open lines of communication with all levels of management to ensure customer satisfaction regarding crew availability and scheduling.
